Inner Ear Trouble, No Appetite

Men and women, different yet the same, only together we are the life!

March 8, 2011. Only a few days ago, Giffoni Valle Piana, in pouring rain, with my wife, her sisters, her brother, our children, grandchildren and a bunch of friends, we gave the last farewell to mother Gigina. Among the many thoughts, emotions, pain ... I thought to myself and Gina mimosas we would not have been able to make them, calling the flower shop in the house, as we did for so many years, she and my mother went away a few years ago. Today my thoughts go to them, mom Gigina and mother, Amalia, to them that they had lived through the '69 revolt by young women, like me and Gina, but by mothers worried about their children, and so continued to do throughout his life, but also in the flower ( expected that each year) saw the sign, hoping that at least for women, after them, life would be less cruel.

For years, the March 8 mimosas I gave them to my wife to my work colleagues, her friends and Sofia, my 8 year old granddaughter. I do not know if this year I will! As of February 13, 2011, from that wonderful day of rebellion and assertion of their dignity, by women, I think has changed everything! we men do not need to receive a mimosa, women need a lot more and I say this by invoking a step in the post Tanning of Gregory published by L'Unità Today: "... .. The widow of the Nobel Prize for Literature (Saramago, Pilar del Rio) had called us to close on 13 February to communicate his support for the insurgency and to say how this "new wind" would make her think of the words and gestures made with the husband, in his last years about the strength of squares against the schemes of each density and type. Today, March 8, published his appeal to Italian men. Should be the men to leave the street and say 's enough, he writes. " The day take to the streets, we applaud them women from the sidewalks and throw them flowers." "

February 13, 2011 in Varese.
Yes, I think that Pilar del Rio is right: February 13 women took to the streets for us, demanding dignity and respect for their bodies have implicitly done for us ... Now it's time we take to the streets, to act, to claim the same dignity (which offers more mimosas!), because when is outraged and offended the body of a woman is abused and insulted the body of humanity that we share: men and women, different yet the same, only together we are the life!
